Conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye, can have various symptoms depending on the cause. Here are some common symptoms of conjunctivitis

Redness: The white part of the eye (sclera) appears reddish or pink
Itchiness: The affected eye may feel itchy or irritated
Tearing: Excessive tearing or watery eyes can occur
Discharge: There may be discharge from the eye, which can be watery, yellowish, or greenish in color. This discharge can cause the eyelids to stick together, especially after sleeping
Sensitivity to light: Some people with conjunctivitis may experience sensitivity to light (photophobia)
Blurred vision: In some cases, vision may be temporarily blurred due to the inflammation
Feeling like something is in the eye: Patients may feel as though there is something in their eye, such as sand or grit

It's important to note that the symptoms can vary depending on the type of conjunctivitis (viral, bacterial, allergic, or irritant-related). If you suspect you have conjunctivitis, it's best to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment
