How do you know if you have conjunctivitis?

You may suspect that you have conjunctivitis (pink eye) if you experience the following symptoms

Redness: The white part of your eye appears reddish or pink

Itchiness or Irritation: Your eye feels itchy, irritated, or uncomfortable

Discharge: You notice a discharge from your eye, which can be watery, yellowish, or greenish in color. This discharge can cause your eyelids to stick together, especially after sleeping

Tearing: Your eyes may tear up excessively

Sensitivity to Light: You may experience sensitivity to light (photophobia)

Blurred Vision: Your vision may be temporarily blurred due to the inflammation

Feeling Something in the Eye: You might feel as though there is something in your eye, like sand or grit

If you have one or more of these symptoms, especially if they are accompanied by discomfort or pain, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional. They can provide an accurate diagnosis and recommend the appropriate treatment based on the type and cause of conjunctivitis you may have.
